CTC Mountain Bike Leader Awards
How the OTC qualifications will integrate with CTC's mountain bike provision
OTC's twelve years of producing the best mountain bike qualifications around,
combined with CTC's 130 years of existence, and recent developments in offroad
provision mean that the full integration process will take a short while.
The Skill Instructor scheme will integrate with the Leader Awards, both of which will be supported with the participant provision in the Skill Awards (badge based) scheme. This will produce a system covering the entire breadth of mountain bike provision from those learning to ride to the best professionals in the field of activity provision.
Further development
You can, of course, be assured that the high quality and accessible principles of both OTC and CTC scheme will be maintained, and that qualifications themselves will not alter. After all they provide the skills, abilities and tools to do the task at hand at the highest level.
There will be, though, some further developments, both in additional courses and in some areas of CTC delivery to ensure progression and consistency through the entire scheme. In the long term, links between road and offroad will be engendered.
